Happy Memorial Day!

I broke out the old D50 to let Jacob take some pictures in the yard on Memorial Day.
I love that my kids still are excited about simple things like flags on toothpicks.
Adam ate his flag and then tried to escape into the street.
Flags and glow sticks, how could life get any better?
Since Brian didn't make the Memorial Day photos here is a picture of him with the girls the day before Memorial Day. I love uploading my photos and finding tons of random shots that Jacob has snapped.

While we were taking pictures of Jacob, we found this awesome pink building.
We will be going back to take some girly pictures.
Jacob thought it only fair that he got to take some pictures of me.
Good job Jacob, nice lines in the background.

Jacob is 7

I can hardly believe Jacob turned 7 last week. He picked miniature golf for his birthday activity for the 3rd year in a row. The only casualty of the night was my lip. Grace spilt it open with her golf club. Jacob did awesome and hit 2 hole-in-ones.
His blue steel pose.

Toothy grin.
Trying not to smile.
He is a lover of all things Star Wars, noticed the shirt he picked.

Jolly Adam and what to do about a house.

My jolly little man at 14 months. Sporting a new haircut and posing in front of a blanket that took me months to finish.

Now about a house, what to do?
Do we wait for a short sale? It is a great house, but in a community that only allows horses. What would they say if I rode a steer? You know how snobby horse people are.
or
The quirky house on the lake, that is zoned for any type of animal, steers included.
Bring on the chickens.
or
A normal house in the suburbs?

Adam is excited about all of the above or he is playing patty cake.

Merry's pre kindergarten trip

For Merry's pre-kindergarten trip, we went to visit cousins in Utah/Montana.

Day 1.

We visited Papa's condo in Bountiful. Papa has a collection of dead animals, the grossest of all is a giant rattlesnake from King Ranch.
Merry willingly posed for the picture. Merry spent her time chasing Papa's elusive cat, Gus around. He probably will be in the taxidermy collection pretty soon.

Then we went and visited Papa at his office and went to lunch at the Lion House.

The flowers at Temple Square were in full bloom.

Merry waiting in Papa's office.

Pretty flowers.

Another pretty flower.

Yet another pretty flower.

Then we headed down to Payson to visit Dawne and family, Ann and family and Emilie and family.
Merry found a field of dandelions.
Merry and Ella making wishes. Merry and Ella were best friends. Ella told me they were pretty much twins because they both loved blueberry muffins and could twirl.

Cousin Jake in the dandelions.

Day 2.

Day 2 only has 1 picture for some reason. My sisters and I crafted some and then went to dinner.

Merry took a ride on Silly Sally who will only walk if Kyle walks in front of her. So both got their exercise for the day.

Day 3.

We headed up to West Yellowstone, MT

Some of the cousins at the cabin.

In order Merry, Ella, Isabelle, Joseph, Paul.

We went and saw Old Faithful.

Snow in May- way too cold.

Merry Berry and Ella Bella posing in front of Old Faithful.

The girls in Montana

Last weekend my sisters and I were all together in Montana. The 1st and 3rd in the picture had babies 4 days apart 3 weeks ago and we were attending a baby blessing for my sister in-law's 8 week old. Lots of babies and lots of fun. A little too cold for my southern blood though.

one more Easter picture

The eastern and midwestern part of the family on Easter at Ellsworth.

Blueberries for Sal

More spring break fun, blueberry picking.
Adam mostly ate not picked. I am not even sure if that is a blueberry. It look a lot like dirt.
Stuffed and happy.
Worker #1
Worker #2
Worker #3
The bountiful harvest.
All went to good use in blueberry pie, muffins and just snacking.

All of Grace

More of my beautiful, little Grace on her birthday.
Grace is a little momma. She loves carrying around babies and blankets and spends most of her day mothering Adam.
She always wants to be the one to give him his sippy cup and food, will willingly fetch diapers and wipes, and climbs into his crib to snuggle with him. It definitely makes my life pretty easy.
More details about Grace. Green is her favorite color. Any book about babies she loves. The beach is her new favorite place. We love our Grace.

Sort of scary green cake.

Soft and Sweet

Even though I just posted this picture in my Easter post I though I would post it again for the soft and sweet picture challenge at iheartfaces. If you are wondering why Adam is no longer wearing a shirt it is because he decided to dye himself blue with Easter egg dye. I guess he didn't want to be left out of the festivities.
