More bluebonnets

I love her face.

Jacob smiles

This is the forced smile. Used for pictures only when your dad offers you candy.

This is a real smile.
Oh, to be a 5 year old boy.

A note from Grace- if she could write..... or talk

Mom,
Sorry I left my lollipop where you would sit on it and walk around with it stuck to your bum.
At least I told you about it by running after you trying to grab it.

Maybe tomorrow I will be nice.
Grace.

Happy Spring

Spring is here, spring is here. Its the best time of the year.

Adam is 2 weeks old today. This was originally supposed to be his birthday.
He weighed in at a whopping 6lbs 4 oz.

What is my crazy mom thinking?

Grace loves the fowies, as she calls them.
Don't worry these are in our yard.

Merry keeps picking me flowers from our lady banks bushes.

Good thing we have so many.

St. Patty's Day fun

So how are we adjusting to life with 4? Pretty well, I would say. Luckily Jacob was on spring break this week so we have just hung out at home. Jacob is happy because I have let him play more video games than pediatricians advise. Merry is happy because Jacob has been home to play with and Grace is happy because she loves to kiss Adam all day long. Adam is still really sleepy because he was born at 37 weeks, so he really has only opened his eyes for maybe 1 hr or so in the last 11 days. And me I am happy because I get to hang out with my kids all day long. Next week it is back to school schedule, maybe home schooling isn't such a bad idea.

For St. Patty's day we made green cupcakes with green frosting and green sprinkles. Then we made clover shaped biscuits and green eggs. I wasn't to sure about green ham, so we passed on that. Luckily or unluckily we have a whole bunch of clover in the yard to hunt for 4 leaf clovers. Merry was sure she saw one.

The kiddios modeling their St. Patty's day finery.

Grace loved the green frosting.
'
Merry didn't want to be color biased so she added some other colors of sprinkles.

Good Luck

I love this picture not because it is so great but because who can resist little chubby thighs and leg warmers and because it shows how sweet Merry is to Grace (she is helping her with her popsicle.)

A rare glimpse of Adam with his eyes opened.
He looks so tiny.
Merry is a good little mother
Grace's new hobby

Adam at 6 days old and pretty happy about it.

1 week old and not too sure about this whole life thing.

9 days old and sleepy as ever.

Adam unmasked at 4 days

All the tubes are finally off!
This is right after they took them off so his cheeks are still splotchy from the tape.
We finally got to come home on day 5 and Adam is now asleep in his bed.

3 days old

Adam had a big day today he finally got a middle name.
He is now officially Adam Elijah.
We also discovered that he is a little Houdini.  He managed to remove his IV and feeding tube.
Luckily he was done with both- he was just trying to help the nurse out.

Dear Knifty Knitter,
I really dislike you.
Love, Adam

2 days old

Little Adam wasn't quite baked enough so now he is trying to catch up.
We will probably be hanging around the hospital a few more days.
In the mean time he has developed a love for striped, knitty things.
I can't blame him.
