We went to the Guadalupe river on saturday with the YW

Here's little Gracie modeling her swim attire
Here's little Gracie modeling her swim attire

Jacob chasing a beach ball

Merry wearing a PBJ sandwich on her legs and a scowl on her face

Thanks Ashley for this lovely shot of me

I forgot to take any pictures of the scenery - I was to busy trying to navigate the river
but this is what it looks like- the cypress trees are amazing

These are Jacob and Merry's school pictures I scanned in - they are grainy but you get the general idea

Celebrate fall
I love fall- especially the warm colors

We celebrated the beginning of fall by having a cookie baking party.

My sister and her 5 kids have been at our house for the past couple of days.
I was babysitting Adeline and Ivan today so they came to the welcome to fall party

Jacob decorated some extra chippy cookies

Merry prefers to douse her cookies in sprinkles

This is how I celebrate fall- the mountain dew is just for variety.
I also made halloween bows to celebrate and pruned my rose bush.
Other good news- we have had 2 pumpkins from our garden so far- there are a few more on the vine - hopefully they ripen in time.

Who needs a little sparkle in their life?
Well I for one do.
I have always secretly wanted a bedazzler. Okay so not so much a secret any more.
Any who my friend Jaime (because I was taught to share) is doing a give away on her blog for these fabulous sparkle onesies from Too Hot Tot Bling. Go visit her and enter before the 28 of September.

For Lynnie

Fluffy Elias after

Fluffy Elias before
I played with your picture a little because little Elias is so cute and I couldn't help it. I love the lighting in your pictures - where is this at- I wish I was coming to see you again this fall- maybe in the spring
A few random things I noticed today (for Lynnie or anyone else who wants to be bored with my observances):
I purchased some tights at target the other day and I glanced at the size chart on the back- it didn't have one of those funny grid things with different shades colored in for different sizes. Instead it just had a list- however it left out like a 15 pound range on the list- maybe these specific tights are not for women in that certain range- I think they should stick to the griddy thingamabob and not exclude any size.
Another thing I noticed- people are more helpful when you just have one little baby. I went to HEB today after I dropped Jacob and Merry off at preschool . Mid shopping Grace was a little fussy so I took her out of the car seat. I think I had like 10 people try to help me as I continued to shop and then check out. Usually I am holding Grace, Merry is climbing in and out of the cart like a little monkey and Jacob is wandering around. For some reason nobody wants to come with in 10 feet of me. I think I must look like I can handle it with 3 children or I am just deafened by the continuous din so I don't notice that people are trying to help.
more beach pictures
Merry in the waves- this is the first time that merry wore a 2 piece suit- the bottoms were so saggy on her little skinny bum they kept almost falling off- she got so frustrated she took them off and walked around half naked -
saggy bottoms
Jacob kept digging holes for his tidal pool- he is normally stand offish about water but he jumped right in - probably because the gulf of mexico is like bathwaterMonday, September 8, 2008
Fun in Port A
We went to the beach for the weekend with my office.
My sister and fam. and brother Dan tagged along.

Merry loved the seagulls- she chased them around flapping her arms- she also loved to feed them.

Men and babes

We stayed in a little round house on stilts- the kids thought it was great fun

Holy Mackrel
Brian, Dan and Mando went fishing- they caught lots and lots of fish- here the kids are showing off the Mangrove Snapper
