A day in my life

This morning I served the breakfast of champions. For some reason Grace eats all the way around the edge of the donut first.
Adam is now 8 months old. He has developed a love of swings and biting things with his six chompers.

The rest of the force

Nothing says Halloween like a grown man dressed as a Jedi. Thanks for growing a beard Obi-Wan.
Small Yoda or Shrek. Who can know for sure?

Some of October

I am still trying to catch up from our trip to fee-lord-a at the beginning of the month. Do I have pictures? Of course. Will they ever get posted? Probably not, seeing how Jacob's birthday some how got skipped this year.
But on to more important things like Halloween costumes and and pumpkin patches.
We snapped a few pictures of costumes on the way to a birthday party and the ward trunk or treat. Adam was asleep so I didn't get a picture of him.
Jacob was Luke Skywalker from Episode VI. Not to be confused with any of the other Lukes. Any way, he insisted he needed a Jedi robe too. So I made one. Did he wear it? No, of course not remember we live in Tejas. He put it on and said this is way too hot. So much for my hard work.
Because, I have decided that sewing costumes is much too time consuming. I let Merry pick her costume out. You can tell, sequins, shiny stuff and fake flowers.

Grace is a bumble bee because just refer to the comments on Merry's picture.
Grace has also changed her name to Tinker Bell for some unknown reason. Apparently a snowman gave her that name at a party on Christmas or something like that. At least that is what she claims.

Now for a few of my favorite pictures from the pumpkin patch. I love Merry in this picture because 1. she is wearing her favorite outfit- work out clothes 2. she is gorgeous 3. she is looking so grow up all the sudden.
Adam, poor guy, has had a terrible stomach bug the past week so he was not to thrilled with anything, pumpkins included.
Maybe in the next week if our house is puke free then I will get all my pictures caught up. Most likely I will lay around gorging myself on Halloween candy while reading novels.

dental school, schmental school

Every time Jacob has a wiggly tooth, I ask him if he wants me to take it out. For some reason he never wants me too. I have to resort to drastic measures- the old eat an apple trick. I would have bought him a candy apple if any were near by. So much for 4 years of dental school.

Adam at 7 months

Hey, Adam show me your smile.

How is this Mom?

Yeah, I know that was pretty funny.
How about this?

Or this?
Well I am just plain confused.
I will blow raspberries to show my disgust.
Oh, wait, I see something.
If only I could get it in my mouth.
Wait, what is up there?
Now this is awesome.

Fall is finally here!

Fall is finally here. I actually had to wear a sweater in the morning. Okay so it was really only 60 degrees but that is pretty cool compared to the 90+ degrees last week. We have been spending a little more time outside since the weather has changed.

Jacob likes to make bug highways with side walk chalk. Excuse me black bug, you are not obeying common traffic laws.

Merry added some houses and shopping to the bug city.

Adam's 2 front teeth are about to pop through. That had nothing to do with the chalk or the weather but very important to document for his dentist mom.

games and hats

Jacob comes home every day from school and asks to play "chest." He understands the piece movements but we are still working on strategy and the name. I like the faces he makes when he is concentrating so hard or thinks he made a good move.

I just realized that I hadn't even put Adam in this hat I made during my semi-obsessive knifty knitter phase while I was on bed rest. It is a little snug on him. Maybe the knifty knitter will be revived for the winter, not that we need hats ever in the south. His eyes still are a little sad- dang germs are still hanging out.
