Blue and Gold

Jacob's Blue and Gold Banquet was last night.
His leaders are awesome.
They did a bunch of cool science experiments.
Like blowing up balloons with baking soda and vinegar.
Making yeast volcanos.
And homemade lava lamps
His fellow cubscouter thought it was pretty neato.
The awards were in a bucket of blue goo.
He earned his wolf badge.
Good job Jacob, you are awesome.
Jacob with his leaders.
In other parts of our house, Eliza has been sporting her 1st cowboy boots.  She wore them to the fair last weekend but we did not stay for the whole rodeo.

Who doesn't need red boots?
Adam's new favorite phrase is "but why?" when I ask him to do something.  This face usually accompanies the phrase.

A look at our life with Eliza at 2 months

It is amazing how little your life changes with baby #5.
This is where Eliza lives.

See, she is in there.
Why hello Mom, I am glad to see you.
If I smile cute will you pick me up?
This is not quite what I had in mind.
Love the a-frame windows in our loft, they make pretty catchlights.
Another random shot at 2 months.
Grace still thinks she is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
So does Adam.
So do I for that matter.
I like Grace's cheesy grin, complete with lunch smeared on her face.

Sunday and Monday

I always let my babies sleep in a basket in a field of weeds.
Actually I was taking pictures of the red flower and wrap and needed a baby as filler, good thing she is so cute.
You think this a picture of Jacob but it is so much more.  Check out the progress on the paper mache roof.  It now has fluoride tray tiles on it and will soon be spray painted the copper color.  Only 2 weeks until competition hopefully they have time to finish it.
And finally Eliza and her momma.  She looks terrified, maybe there is a giant spider somewhere on the ceiling.  She is modeling the cute boots and hat her Grandma gave her via her Aunt Taunie and made by her dad's cousin.  Confused yet?

More Valentines

My handsome boy took a break from his video games to make sure my hearts would work.
Love this boy, he is growing up way too fast.
At 8 weeks, Eliza is no longer a sleepy little baby.
The beautiful bow and wrap are from Beans in a Bucket.
Okay, I can still sneak a sleepy one in now and then.
One more of her eyes wide opened.  I think they are going to be similar to Grace's eye color.
She is pretty stinkin' cute, so that is okay with me.
She also wanted to model the headband.

Happy Valentine's Day

The girls decked out for Valentine's day.  Eliza's shirt says Auntie forever on it, thanks Aunt Leslie and Aunt Taunie for the awesome shirt.
Are you in love with Grace's dimples?  I am.
Owl Valentine's shirts, guess who picked them out?  Grace told me she was actually dressed as a flower today.  She planned on hiding with just her head sticking up.
Adam in the background in his non-Valentine's apparel.  He managed to fall from the top bunk in the girl's room last night and knock himself out.  It was the 1st 911 call we have ever made(knock on wood).  He seems to be in fine spirits this morning and it doesn't seem like it slowed him down at all.  He also told me that the baby was his Valentine.
It is amazing how fast hugging progresses to wrestling.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Brian took the older girls to the Daddy Daughter Dance over the weekend where the all the daughter danced and all the dads stood against the wall and talked.
If you are wondering why the picture is in black and white, my kids have been working on their Odyssey of the Mind project out in the yard which involved spray painting PVC pipes red.  It looks like there was a battle on my lawn.
My living room has also fell victim to Odyssey of the Mind and is currently home to a paper mache roof.
I am pretty impressed with their crafty little minds.

The 2012 models

Look who came to visit.  Cousin Adele the other 2012 model.
She is 6 months old.  Look how roly-poly she is. Her blue eyes are to-die-for.
I think I will bite her.
Smack.
Okay, I guess we can be friends.
Merry snapped some pictures of Eliza and me..
More of Eliza and her mom.
Her eyelashes have finally grown, she hardly had any when she was born.

Due date and Fishing

Today is Eliza's official due date.  She is 6 wks 5 days old.  I sure am glad I am not pregnant today.
I was going to take some more pictures of Eliza in her blessing dress but as soon as I got her in her dress and asleep I had to go pickup the kids from school.  All I got was just one shot.
Yesterday, we (minus Brian, plus Papa) went fishing at the coast.  You can totally see the that we were fishing in this picture.

And this picture.
And this picture.
Baby Eliza slept on the pier.
Oh well, we had a fabulous time, caught a few pin fishing and absorbed our weekly allowance of vitamin D.

Grace's new best friend

Christian and his family (Brother Mike, Tricia and Hannah) came to visit from Wyoming.
Grace  and Christian are now BFFs.  It was so fun for them to get to play together.  We visited the children's museum in Tampa, unfortunately  I did not take any pictures, Tricia snapped this with her phone outside the museum.

Blessing Day

Eliza was blessed today by Brian. I keep having to make one more blessing dress from my wedding dress material. I am out of fabric so this is the end of the line.
All the kiddos, I didn't realized we all were coordinating until Brian came out and asked if he was supposed to wear a red tie.

Eliza and her proud parents.  Eliza is pondering the 5 unsolvable math problems.  She is pretty much a genius.
Grace had all her babies in a row on the couch. I think Eliza is trying to eat her puffed sleeve. Eat your heart out Anne of Green Gables.
Eliza talking to her Papa.

Eliza yelling at her Papa.

Eliza snuggled up after the picture taking.  Her eyes are finally opened.
A random picture of Adam, my little mouse and Grace with cheese envy.
