The rest of the hospital stay

Dec. 26th:  6 days old. Chillaxin, listening to some tunes. Ears checked out
Dec. 28th: 8 days old.  Waiting to be checked out.
Look what I can do with my lips
All dressed ready to go home.
Finally home at 8 days.  It was truly amazing she responded so well, we were expecting a longer stay.
Grace has been so excited to hold and feed the baby.

Miss Eliza meets the family

The kids finally visited miss Eliza today.

Merry and Eliza

Grace and Eliza.
Adam lasted about 2 minutes in the room and then Brian took him to the cafeteria and bought him a brownie. Jacob was too busy playing games to pose for a picture.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve, the elf comes to visit.
Look Eliza is off of her lipids now she just has to eat enough to get off of her IV completely.
If I keep my eyes closed maybe he will just go away.
Brian and I spent the morning with Eliza while Grandma Stott wrangled the rowdies at home.
Chug, chug, chug.
Another great close up, thanks Brian.
Once we got home we reenacted the Nativity, left Santa some cookies, sprinkled some reindeer food on the lawn and went to bed.
Thanks to Grandma Stott for wrapping all the presents.  Totally not prepared this year.
The kids let us sleep in until 8AM, hooray, then I did not even take 1 picture of Christmas Day.
Best Christmas present ever, Eliza was weaned off of her IV over night.

Look who visited Miss Eliza

Our elf on the shelf Marvin decided to visit little Eliza today.

They are pretty close to the same length.

She is back up to her birth weight.

Eliza and her Daddy.

Look how happy she is.

Eliza- 1,2 & 3 days old

Day 1:  The cpap came off and I finally got to check out her cute face.
Day 2:  She had such a great sucking reflex, no feeding tube was needed.
I finally got to get her out and hold her.
I am still amazed how well she did for how tiny she was, we were so blessed.
Day 3:  How perfect is she?
More prettiness.
Love the puffy lips.
Check out the hair.
Grandma Stott comes to meet Miss Eliza.

Cute little Eliza

Since I am still in prison at the hospital, all my pictures are from my phone.

Little Eliza is starting to gain some weight again. Hooray.

Check out the hair. Love this Nicu it has all private rooms with windows.

She has a view of Checkers and a giant oak tree. If only we were on the other side of the hospital we could watch the Bucs game this afternoon.

Hello world.

Look what Santa dropped off early

Our sweet, little miracle Eliza was dropped off a little bit early (33wks). She weighed in at a hefty 5 lbs, which was pretty big for her age. She is a feisty little thing and is already breathing room air and eating on her own.

Eliza's birthday

Me prepped for surgery, looking pretty awesome.  Noticed the blood shot eyes.  Thanks for the close up Brian.
The doctor, on the right- she did a fabulous job and she stayed up all night too.
Our first view of little Eliza.
She had a squeaky little scream.
Not sure what I am doing.  Maybe I am waving hello.
About 2 minutes later they had her hooked up, they took her to the NICU while the doctor finished putting me back together.
I went to visit on the way up to my room.  A random lady was sitting on the couch.  Actually I think that was my nurse Arlene or Marlene or something like that.
Checking out the baby.  Another great shot of me Brian.
Little Eliza all hooked up in her isolette.
She had all her fingers.
And all her toes.
And she knew how to use her pacifier.
First picture with mom and dad.   I think the random lady from the couch took this.
Later that evening Brian brought the kids to visit me.  (Merry did her own hair that day.)
They had to wait outsied the NICU while Brian went to visit the baby.
Random pictures of the kids waiting
and waiting
and waiting.
