Easter Day

The kids all dress up for church on Easter Sunday
Adam has grown so tall this year, he keeps outgrowing his church pants.
Grace's eyes are so red from the oak pollen.  Spring in Florida is not nice to her.
Eliza got to the chocolate before I took her picture.
Jacob ready or some candy.
Pretty Merry in her flower crown that she will probably never wear again because she said it was way to itchy.
Eliza was the only egg hunter that was slow enough for me to capture on film.
The whole crew after the egg hunt.
I found Eliza at one in the morning gorging herself on Easter candy.  She started screaming for Jacob to get her a glass of water.  Next year I need to put her basket up higher.

Egg dying

On Saturday we prepped for Easter by dying eggs.
Adam was very watchful over his eggs while they were in the dye.
Unfortunately he was not so careful with them once they were dyed so several had to be eaten.
Adam and his super hero egg.
Eliza was a very good dyer, especially of her hands.
They were pink for a couple of days.
Eliza and her bunny and her lady egg.
 Grace the master egg dyer.

Merry supporting Percy Jackson while dying eggs.
 Merry's eggs.
Jacob finally got off the computer and colored a few eggs.

Spring Break

For spring break we took a trip to St. Augustine.
The first stop was Fort Matanzas.  The kids liked this fort because you got to take a ferry to the island the fort was on.
They liked the giant oak tree that were in front on the fort museum.
You can see how smooth the branches are from people climbing on them.
We also visited the Castillo de San Marcos by this time Grace's oak pollen allergy was in full bloom and she had to hold her eyes opened.
The cannons were the best part of this fort according to the kids.  I liked the maps.
 More of the awesome cannons.
Of course there was this guy who was pretty awesome too.
We also went to Fort Caroline in Jacksonville.  The French fort was not nearly as awesome as the Spanish fort so we have no pictures and figured out why the Spanish beat the French.
On the way home we stopped and visited Papa in Gainesville and visited the butterfly museum.
The butterflies particularly like Grace's pink shirt.
Happy Spring.

Happy t-ball season

It is Adam's last t-ball season.  Some how he seems too tall for t-ball.
Eliza has been practicing too. Check out that awesome swing.

Happy birthday Adam!

 Happy 6th birthday to Adam.
He is a lover of all things super hero, t-ball and minecraft.
He is my lover- and comes in every night to tell me he loves me.
We sure love our sweet Adam.

John and fam visit

John and family came to visit.  We went to see them in Kissimmee for the day.  There aren't random strangers in the picture.  Lynnie's friend Erin and her kids were visiting as well.

The kids went for a swim in the hot tub because the pool was a little too cold.

Then we went on a walk on the nature trails in Kissimmee.
I have no idea what is going on here.
Adam took his own path, fortunately he did not catch poison ivy which was all over the place.
Eliza and Adele were happy we found some run away balloons in one of the tree.
 Jacob and Nathan discussing minecraft.
The kids collected a huge amount of pine cones which somehow managed to get in my car.

Grace turned one of the pine cones into a man.

We went and played on a playground but soon it got very boring.

Instead the kids found an overturned oak tree to play on, much more fun indeed.
We always have a grand time when brother John comes to town.

Fair Week

My cute 4H nerds, ready for the plant show- Merry looks particulary pleased to be in this picture.

The theme of the fair was blue jeans country dreams.  Jacob had a country store front for his herbs and hanging baskets.  He won 2nd for display, 3rd for garden knowledge and 3rd for record book.
Merry had a lemonade stand for her avacodo plants and mixed pots.
She won second for garden display.
Adam and Grace displayed with their cloverbud group and for some reason I did not have a picture of their display.  Adam grew succulents.
Grace grew a mixed color basket.
Merry with her plants a couple of weeks before the fair.
Jacob with his herb garden.
This is what Eliza thought about the fair.
My fair project was a giant pair of overalls for a hay bale.
