Happy Birthday Brian

Nothing says happy birthday like a flame thrower.
Or watching soccer games.
While outside taking pictures of Brian, I could not help but notice that all the kids knees looked like this.  Actually, most days they look like this.
Then I noticed Adam looking in a tunnel in the brush.
It seems that Harbor the dog made a nice tunnel so he could chase the kittens around in the brush.
Side story on Harbor- we took him to the vet and he had a microchip but the owner's # had been changed.  So I had to Facebook stalk the guy who previously owned the dog.  I could tell it was him because he had an album dedicated to this dog whose previous name was Schmitty (we had to stick with Harbor because Adam has a lisp and Schmitty and a lisp do not mix).
Any who the guy was in the military and must have got rid of the dog when he got deployed.  Grace is sure that he is a great guard dog because he used to belong to a knight (some people get knight and soldier mixed up).  The guy never answered my Facebook message so I guess Harbor ne'e Schmitty is here to stay.
All of the kids were climbing down the tunnel into the brush.
This is what is at the end of the tunnel.  A small glade of saplings- how awesome.
And some vines to pull on.

I am sure you were wondering if I climbed down the tunnel too.  I thought about it, then realized I would not fit, so I walk around to the backside through the blackberry briars.
All of the crazies.
Now you understand why bath time is at night.

Eliza @ 13 months

Sweet Eliza at 13 months.
Her favorite toy is the rocking moose.
This is how she plays peek-a-boo.
I must make this same face when I say boo.
Singing while rocking.
Adam tried to jump in some of the pictures.
Eliza was not too keen on this.
She is up and running now
and very excited she found a pink string.

Happy 8th birthday Merry!!!!

Merry is finally 8!   It seems like she is growing up overnight.
Grandma Stott came to visit for her birthday.
The motley crew with Grandma Stott.
She was baptized by her Dad the weekend after her birthday.
Her cousins came to visit for her birthday as well.
Mason and Adam had fun hugging/torturing the kitties.
 And making funny faces.
She had a roller skating birthday party with all her friends.
Turquoise sparkle themed of course.  This is the front of her invitation.
The local roller rink- dancing to the cha-cha slide.
Sad Merry.  She kept telling me her stomach hurt while I was taking her pictures.
Bad Mom moment, I told her she was probably fine.
After we finished she puked all over.  I guess I should slow down and listen.
 What a trooper.
She is such a pretty girl.
She loves acrobats and does about 100 cartwheels a day.
We love our Merry.

Merry Christmas

Happy Christmas morning.  Welcome to our mayhem.
Our Christmas Tree, half the lights burned out Christmas morning.

A little Christmas morning bed head.
Properly tamed.
Eliza finished Santa's cookies.
Adam was happy to receive a whole pack of gum, which he promptly chewed.
Grace unwrapping her gift from her Dad.
Now that is some eyebrow skill.

Merry with new roller blades, she some how broke an axle on her roller skates.

We encourage sibling rivalry.
Just in case you were wondering, an assembled table will fit in the back of a mini van, but will not fit through the front door.  So it was on the front porch on Christmas morning until we could take the rods off.

Elf vs. Eliza

Remember Eliza and the Elf last year.

Look how big she is now.
Still a little creepy elf.
Oh look, Eliza is a ventriloquist.
Eliza trying to take the elf's hat off.
Eliza can free stand and take one step.
She is pretty excited about this.
What a good helper she was during the wrapping frenzy.
