Spring Break at the Lake

The rest of spring break we spent at home at the lake.
Cleaning up the yard and the boat house.
Picking all the flowers before they were mowed.
 Burning all the brush
 and making s'mores
The fire tenders.

S'mores,
are good to the last bite.

Spring Break

We were supposed to fly to North Carolina for a quick spring break trip but Covid 19 put a damper on our plans.
Instead we load up the car and drove and just ate outside.
The bonus was we got to see the pretty daffodils on the way.
The first stop was the US whitewater center in Charlotte, only Grace and Merry were brave enough to  go on the boats with me.  We got soaked, this is right after the ride.
They had a ton of rope courses and zip lines.
Merry and Adam did the big drops.
Even Eliza was able to do the hardest courses.
 All the adventures.
 Really great helmets.
 Jacob enjoying wearing a helmet.
The woods were beautiful.
We also spent some time on the rock walls.  Eliza on the far left and Grace on the far right are part monkey.

 Jacob bouldering.
Grace using her tongue for concentration.
We also were able to ride bikes and do the obstacle course.
It is a place we will definitely have to visit again.
We drove to the mountains that night and were greeted at the condo entrance by a black bear.
The next day we snowboarded and skied.
Brian opted to be the photographer.
Adam was able to ride the big lift by himself this time.
That makes for one happy boy.
 Eliza snowboarded,
but wanted me to follow her around and pick her up.
Lunch break on the deck.

Cute Merry in her winter gear.
 Cute little snow bunny.
 Merry's skills
Adam happy to be on two feet.
After a quick dinner break while they groomed the slopes.
We came back and skied until they closed the lifts.
Night skiing is always so fun.
The whole crew had a ball.

The woods in front of the condo we stayed in had some great trees.
The younger kids went out and played while Jacob and Merry slept.
They were fascinated by the moss.
Happy campers.
We also took a drive around the mountains to check out some waterfalls.
The blue ridge mountains way in the background.
A fun spring break.

Happy Double Digits

Adam turned 10 today.
It is hard to believe that he is so old.
10 candles are a lot for one puff.

Taking pictures of Adam is always fun.
I can usually only get like 4 or 5 shots.
He was pretty patient with me tonight and even sat on the ant ridden ground.
Full watt smile.
I love this boy.
