Grace at soccer

Grace is playing soccer again this season.
I am glad she has the tongue concentration down.
You can see how wet the field was in the early morning from all the dew splashing up on her.

Getting ready for the game by making her braids into Princess Leia buns.
Some action on the field.
More action.
Half time huddle and cheer.
Her throw in skills.  Need to work on that.
Another busy day at the soccer field.

Happy birthday Merry

Happy 11th birthday to our sweet Merry.
It is hard to believe she is already this old.
She is a bookaholic and is constantly reading.
Her favorite color is turquoise and she loves to cook but not clean.
She is a great big sister and helps entertain her younger siblings.
Foxes are her favorite animal so this is my attempt at a fox cake.
What a glowy cake.
Blowing out the fire hazard.
Surprised by the presents, which included a lot of books.
Happy birthday may your 11th year be excellent.

Adam and Eliza

Eliza is quite appalled that I wanted to take pictures of her after church.
This is her I am so offended face.
Fortunately Adam was there to show her how to properly model.
Adam we don't model shirtless.
Eliza's attempt at being cooperative.
Thanks to a couple of youtube videos Eliza has given up sucking her finger.
The first was an Asian man who told her how gross it was and then yelled "Asian people will not like you if you suck your finger."  The second showed a close up of bacteria in petri dish and then a cartoon boy puking.  Eliza is sure that the bacteria are worms.  Laying in bed the other night she told Brian that she wished she had a faster car to get away from the worms so that she could suck her finger again.  Maybe the lack of finger sucking has led to this sassiness.

Happy 2017

Happy New Year's Eve.
We spent the day in Lakeland visiting Grandma Stott and David and family.
We went to lunch and then a fun center and played arcade games until we won a Gator's basketball that only cost us like $40 dollars.
Then we can home and spent the evening at home playing Risk.
A picture of the revelry.
Poor bottom of the human tower.
We then went outside and lit Chinese lanterns and watched our neighbors fireworks.
Until we almost caught our neighbor's tree on fire.
Happy New Year.
