Happy birthday Grace

Happy 7th birthday sweet Grace.

Owls are still here favorite thing, so it makes shopping for her easy.

Grace is the little mother of the house, she runs around and makes sure that everything is taken care of.  Her tears are usually because someone else is being punished.

She loves owls, pink, dancing and minecraft.

Mass Daylily exodus

Papa has been in Florida all winter growing daylilies, now it is time for the daylilies and Papa to migrate back to Utah.  Here is Papa explaining his complex sorting system.

Easter finery a week late.

 As general conference was on Easter Sunday we didn't wear our Easter finery.

 All the ladies.

 Poor Eliza will have to wear this ugly fabric 3 times.

Pinewood derby

 Happy pinewood derby.

 Jacob's last car as he will graduate from Cub scouts this year.

You can tell he put a lot of effort into the design.

It did not seem to matter though, he place 1st place out of 17 cars and won the award for "best flying brick" car.

 It was definitely the duct tape that made the car.

I don't think Adam even noticed that there was a race going on as he was too engrossed in his game.

Merry and Grace cheered for Jacob though, in their matching outfits.

One year older and wiser too.

Happy Easter

 Easter morning craziness.

 Eliza found a few eggs and then she got tired of hunting so she sat down to find out what was inside.

The Easter Bunny stuffed some eggs with pistachios for Eliza as they are one of her favorite treats.

Jacob found the most eggs.  Mostly because he helped the easter bunny stuff and hide the eggs.

Egg Dying party

Egg dying madness.

This is after Adam spilled the purple dye,  Merry spilled the red and Eliza spilled the blue.

Adam took the brunt of the spill so he had to take a bath.  

Fortunately I had an extra pack of dye so that we could make replacement colors.

I am one brave person.

Eliza is convinced that she is as capable as the other kids.
