Post Christmas blues

What mom makes their family wear coordinating outfits?
 How annoying.
Jacob, with the shaggy hair.
Merry, with stars in her eyes and on her skirt. The skirt leaves a trail of glitter where ever she goes.

Grace lost one front tooth in time for Christmas
Adam is bearing the scars of a close encounter with the wildlife (aka Eliza).
Eliza, looks so innocent.

Eliza is 2

Happy birthday to our beautiful Eliza.
What better way to start the day then to cuddle with your brother and sister.
Can you tell she had red velvet cake for her birthday.
 Modeling her birthday pjs.
Eliza is very opinionated about her apparel and usually wants to wear her pjs all day long.
 With her birthday cupcake.
After Jacob demonstrating how to blow out candles several times she finally mastered it.
Eliza is a little monkey and can climb into the tree house and onto the trampoline by herself.
She loves baby dolls,
horses, books and
 playing peek-a-boo.

She is sweet about 90% of the time and very feisty the other 10%.
Yet another picture of Eliza.
Dang canoe bar ruining my pretty picture.

Eliza and her elf to see how much she has grown since she was born.  (She was playing ring a round the rosies with him)
This is what you get when you ask her to make a silly face.
We love our sweet, sassy Eliza.

Christmas dance demo

Merry at her Christmas Dance demo showing off her ballet moves.
 Merry's troop
Grace's demonstrating her back bend

and ballet skills.
The both have loved dance this year and they are looking forward to the recital.

Happy December

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas with tank tops and shorts.
If you look closely one of Grace's front teeth finally fell out this week.
I am hoping her other falls out before Christmas that way her and Adam can sing a duet of all I want for Christmas is two from teeth.
Another picture from visiting Santa to get us in the holiday mood.  Eliza was not too sure about the man in red.

Pretty Merry

Us after 14 years

Since we forgot to take a picture on our actual anniversary this will have to substitute.
We were heading to Brian's work party, which we ditched early and then went to Target and went Christmas shopping.

Thanksgiving

Well the first thing you do when you arrive at some one's house for Thanksgiving is to ensure there will be plenty of food.  So brother John set a crawdad trap.
Then took Nathan fishing to catch us some delicious bass.
(Nathan played the native American role in our Thanksgiving feast by providing the fish)
The girls meanwhile discussed what place cards should be on the table.
Then took a break to play.
Cousin Adele and Eliza bonded over strollers,
baby dolls,
riding in the wagon,
and fried chicken.
Brother John also cooks, he made 9 delicious pies and a fried turkey.
Papa also cooks, he made stuffing and a spatchlocked turkey.
You see my plan, I only had to make rolls.
The boys played a lot of video games.
The girls made lots of crafts, hunted for snails in the lake,

and caught a bird.
The Thanksgiving feasters.
I see some of us did not get the blue/ gray color scheme memo.
The Thanksgiving feast, partly consumed.
Nathan demonstrating how to eat a turkey leg.
Adam was only interested in the sody water.
Mason was in agreement.
Annie only looks stuffed.
You must have light eyes to sit at this table.
Jack had a meal of rolls and meat.
Eliza said "mmmm delicious."

Nathan polished off the leg, he must have inherited his father's stomach capacity.
On Friday we visited a small zoo.
Brother John wanted to compare whose Arab nose was larger.
The best thing about this zoo is that you could feed all of the animals.
Apparently most will eat popcorn.
The pig checking out the zoo goers.
All the chitlins.
Llama, Llama needs to visit the orthodona.
On Friday we took a ride on the mini trains and visited with Santa.
The brown eyed cousins.
The big girl cousins.
The baby girl cousins.
Mrs. Claus mentioning to Santa to make sure and add some birth control to the adult stockings.
We also visited the aquaponic center and went to downtown disney.
Then we slept on Sunday.
